Exterity Partnership
Exterity signs new partner to bring network AV to schools and colleges in the south-east.
London, 12th January 2005:
Exterity, a specialist in network audio-visual (AV), has today announced that it has partnered with Network and Cabling Solutions, one of the leading providers of data, communications and electrical installations in the South East. Through this agreement, Network and Cabling will resell Exterity’s iSocket technology to deliver television and other multi-media content through a data network to schools, colleges and universities in Kent, Sussex, Surrey and South East London. Using Exterity, Network and Cabling can cost-effectively replace a traditional co-axial TV distribution system with a future proof solution, which can deliver more content and services.
“Over the past five years, colleges and universities in the UK have heavily invested in their networks and they are now looking to deliver more services and content to students, thereby making the most of the huge bandwidth that is available,” commented Colin Farquhar, Chief Executive Officer, Exterity. “Through working with Network and Cabling we have the opportunity to target all the major education establishments in the South East and help deliver a complete networked AV solution”.
Working together, Exterity and Network and Cabling will deliver the following AV services to students, teachers and lecturers via a network:
- Campus wide TV in any language
- Relay and replay of live events such as lectures and demonstrations
- Campus news and information channels
- On-demand access to libraries of educational video programs
- Video delivered to all displays and PCs on campus network
