MY Cartons New Offices
When specialist carton manufacturer MY Cartons UK Division decided to build a new office complex at its Gillingham plant and needed new network cabling, NCS was the obvious choice, according to site director Alan Bettey:
"NCS have always done a good job for us. They have never let us down, and if we ever do have a problem, they respond very quickly."
The project proved to be a real challenge. MY Cartons, a subsidiary of Nampak, was not only building a completely new mezzanine floor with offices within the existing building, but also installing new waste systems, a new litho printer and a large cutting and creasing machine. As well as dealing with the new systems for the new equipment and offices, and designing a control panel for the cutting machine, NCS had to re-route large amounts of cabling without disrupting production.
"It was extremely difficult to take out the existing power supplies and re-supply power whilst keeping all our machines running," says Alan "However, NCS managed it successfully without interfering with production, and despite all the various constraints, they even finished the project ahead of schedule!"
