IPTV What is it?

IPTV is Internet Protocol Television which is the transmission of television content over a computer network to multiple users.

Media3IP delivers IPTV in a simple cost-effective, and can be built on an existing PC or MAC network. The end user can view both digital satellite and terrestrial channels either on their PC/MAC, or by installing a set top box (STB) on a standard TV set.

Media3IP’s digital television services offer convenience, control and ease of use that keeps subscribers coming back for more. Subtitling, colour, and contrast control and aspect ratio/screen size set-up come as standard with additional options available including an electronic programme guide (EPG), scheduled recording functionality video bookmarking along with video editing.

What are the benefits?

Media3IP delivers TV content directly to a PC/MAC desktop or a TV screen via a set top box. The product is an easy add onto an existing Ethernet network meaning there is minimum disruption to existing cabling or hardware.

It offers the opportunity to view TV broadcasts in a minimised PC/MAC window thus removing the need for a separate TV screen, freeing up more desk space and eliminating screen positioning issues.

One of the main benefits is that there is no need for a separate coax network saving both capital and operational costs of supporting multiple networks and allowing users to access TV broadcasts from any data point in the building.

Finally, Media3IP provides access to stored video and audio content that can be watched at a time that suits the viewer whilst allowing full control over the video.
